Many of you may already know this, but of course I found out the hard way…at the register (ugghh). First as many of you may know, Wegmans takes the Tops Coupon Doublers and, although you can only use four (4) in one transaction, you can use more in multiple trips. Wegmans does not track the coupons by their Bonus Card like Tops does.

Here’s what I learned yesterday. Wegmans will take them with a minimum of $25.00 purchase and not the $15.00 purchase that Tops does. Now of course, I assumed it was $15. Got everything through the register in my re-usable bags then the fun began.

My total before coupons was (I kid you not) $24.90! The cashier refused to let me use the doublers (uggh), but very nicely I just asked for the manager and she came over and did let me use the doublers. So just be aware of the price minimum and since the cashier has to key in the coupons anyway, it may depend on who you get that day!

Yesterday, I had a chance to briefly shop at Wegmans. I wish I had more time, but we had so much packed into such a short time, that I wasn’t able to explore as much as I wanted.

• For some of my longtime readers, do you remember when the GreenWorks Laundry Detergent was $2.99? I can confirm that at the Niagara Falls Blvd store it is now $7.99. I’m thinking at the time it was perhaps an error in pricing.

$1.45 after coupon! Great price! I can’t wait to try them, I picked up the Sea Salt and Ranch flavors. Yummy!

Hienz 57 Sauce, $3.69
Used  the $2.00/1 printable coupon (no longer available at coupons.com)
$1.69 after coupon
(I was surprised how much this costs, it was about the same price at Target! But with the $2 coupon it makes for a good deal!)

Of course as always Wegman’s gets their money out of me, because I always end up getting some bakery items. Ughh I can’t resist, and their bakery products are expensive!

JUST A REMINDER!

This Saturday, April 24, (Between 11:00 am – 3:00 pm) Wegmans is having an Earth Day Event. All over the store they will be sharing stories about how Wegmans and their suppliers are helping to reduce, reuse, and recycle resources.

Also, if you bring in a bag of tightly packed Wegmans plastic bags to recycle, they will give you a beautiful reusable bags! Limit one per household. They also will have a scavenger hunt to win $25, snag some coloring sheets, and a fun “Build a Pizza Garden” project handout for the family.

Did everyone catch the bottom of the Wegmans ad this week! Thankfully I just checked the ad again and saw it! When you shop with your Re-Usable bag in April, you will get a different coupon each week (1 coupon per visit).

This week they are showing a coupon of $1.00 any Organic Meat item! Let’s put our re-usable bags to good use and save some money at the same time!

Update: I was in Wegmans earlier today, and they do have this for $2.99 regular price! I bought four (4) bottles for a total of $1.05 (sales tax) woo hoo! I love this deal, free detergent is awesome!
